Dear Friends follows a high-school student named Rina (played by Keiko Kitagawa) who believes that friends are not necessary and that they can only be used in times of need. Thus, she is unable to maintain a decent relationship with her friends and classmates. Her family’s relationship is also lacking; her father does not care much about his family and her mother is over-protective.

I didn’t think it was necessary to do this, I thought it would be common sense to all who download subs. It’s basically the same for all groups anyway. But here we go. Our policies.

It has come to our knowledge that some people who download our subs have edited and retimed it to suit their own videos. That much is fine really, we’re not petty enough to make others watch subs that don’t match their videos. In fact, we would even offer to help resync the subtitles to your video if you would provide a link to it. But just to clarify this, we do put effort and time into making these subs, and it is good to know that others acknowledge it (not meaning to be arrogant or proud), but just as one would put their signature at the end of a letter, we put our credits in the subs we make. For someone to download our subs, change it and take off our credits is like plagiarizing and not putting down a bibliography. Please do not do that…

Also, if you’d like to use our subs for other purposes, like hardsubbing and as a reference for translating into other languages, we most likely will let you, but please, do ask us first. It’s only polite to ask if you could use something that doesn’t belong to you, right?

Sorry if I’m sounding a little harsh here, but it really gets to us. Please understand.

Yay, one more project over and done with, with lots of help from others, so thank you!!

We’ve decided to pick up Dear Friends. It will be done a lot quicker than turtles since 1) it’s already timed and 2) there’s the Japanese transcript for it (yay! no more straining to hear mumbled words!!) Not sure if someone has already picked up this.. quite certain someone would have, since it features Kitagawa Keiko (sailor mars from Sailor Moon Live Action- that show was super awesome =D ), but apparently, subs can’t be found anywhere, so we’ll be doing it. =)

Oh yea, think pottie wants Rainbow Song subbed too, but we’ll see how we go with Dear Friends first.

Suzume is an ordinary young housewife. Her husband is currently working abroad, so she lives by herself except for a pet turtle. Everyone treats her like nothing. Even her husband often seems to forget about her. She asks for herself “Am I invisible? Is this all that I am? Nothing happens in my life till the end?” But one day she finds an ad: “Spy Wanted!” The advertisers seem to be ordinary married couple. They claim they are spies working for some foreign country, and an ordinary person like Suzume is exactly what a spy should be. They almost force her to be a spy, and give her 5,000,000 Yen as necessary expenses. While all they want her is leading an “ordinary” life so that none pays attention, her life slowly changes to be rather extraordinary…

Turtle’s first CD has been completed! It’s also Piyo.’s first timing job, and tofu’s fansub debut.
If you can’t wait for the second CD to be finished, you can download and watch the first half of the movie.

Don’t hold your breath! There’s plenty of fun stuff to watch this season. Take your pick from LIAR GAME, Proposal Daisakusen, Hanayome to Papa, and lots of others. There’s so many I don’t know how I can keep up! Also, watch Lucky☆Star!

Juri, the daughter of a policeman, found Shakespeare to be old-fashioned and could not understand why anyone would chase after a love that was impossible. It was only until she meets Hiromichi, an injured young man, that she starts to understand the feelings of the characters from the ancient play. They fall in love, not knowing that the girl’s police detective father is in the midst of a manhunt to find the young man’s physician father, who is wanted for murder. Will their story end as a tragedy?
